Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026 · Last updated: July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Caller Name Talker & Alert ("the App", "we", "us", "our"), package com.callalert.flash.announcer, handles information when you use it. By installing or using the App you agree to this Policy.

The short version

1. Information We Process Directly

Call & contact information

When your phone rings, the App reads the incoming phone number (via the phone-state permission) and looks it up in your contacts (via the contacts permission) so it can speak the caller's name. This lookup and the text-to-speech conversion happen locally on your device. We do not transmit your contact list or call history to our servers.

SMS content

If you enable the SMS Reader, the App reads incoming text messages so it can announce the sender and, optionally, the message content aloud. Message content is processed on your device for the purpose of the announcement and is not sent to or stored on our servers.

Battery & device status

The App reads the device battery level and charging state to provide fully-charged, low-battery, and charging announcements. This information stays on your device.

App settings

Your preferences — speech speed, repeat settings, silent/vibrate modes, exclusion lists, selected call theme, and which features are turned on — are stored locally on your device.
